Senior Lead Developer

Senior technical escalation point for the Service Team. Handles complex architectural decisions, unblocks developers, reviews code, and mentors developers. Reports to the Team Manager.

Responsibilities

Technical Escalations:

• Handle complex issues that exceed the team's senior devs' capacity
• Make architectural decisions

Code Review & Quality:

• Review critical code
• Deployment oversight
• Attention to detail on quality

Task Management Support:

• Help with task triage
• Good organizational skills
• Support prioritization decisions

Team Support:

• Available daily
• Emergency availability (they happen frequently)
• Mentor developers

Requirements

WordPress/PHP:

• Senior-level WordPress development
• Strong PHP
• WordPress architecture, complex customizations

Full-Stack:

• Must know both backend and frontend (can come from either background)
• Frontend: JavaScript (senior level or very strong), HTML/CSS, modern frameworks
• Backend: PHP, databases, APIs, integrations

JavaScript:

• Strong JavaScript skills (senior level ideally)
• Handle escalations when needed
• Modern frameworks knowledge

Server Basics (Not DevOps, Just Fundamentals):

• Restart services (nginx, php-fpm)
• Navigate the file system, check logs
• Basic troubleshooting

Marketing Tools (Nice to Have):

• GTM (Google Tag Manager) basics
• SEO fundamentals
• HubSpot and/or Marketo knowledge
• CRM platform experience (integrations sometimes escalate to us)
