Senior Java Developer

We are seeking a Backend Software Engineer who is passionate about building robust, data centric solutions. The ideal candidate thrives on designing and maintaining systems that process and manage large volumes of structured and streaming data, and can leverage modern cloud technologies to deliver scalable, reliable, and high performance applications. This role will focus on building, implementing, and maintaining backend services that are powered by data intensive workflows, enabling the teams and customers to make better decisions through timely, accurate, and accessible information.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain solutions that are built on top of an existing large-scale data platform across diverse workloads and datasets
• Leverage AWS managed services (e.g., Redshift, Athena, S3, Kinesis, Glue, Step Functions, Lambda, SQS) to deliver scalable data solutions 
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define and deliver features that meet product and customer needs 
• Produce clear documentation for API interfaces, data models, workflows, and operational procedures to ensure transparency and alignment across teams

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Mathematics, or related technical discipline
• Strong experience developing in Java and SQL
• Familiarity with Python
• Experience in building and maintaining data intensive systems and solutions involving large datasets both batch and streaming data 
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud technologies, using services such as EC2, Redshift, Athena, S3, Kinesis, SQS, Step Functions, Lambda, etc.
• Proficiency developing against relational and analytical databases. PostgreSQL and Redshift are advantages
• Ability to produce clear comprehensive documentation and communicate complex technical topics clearly
