Senior Data Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with a keen eye for detail and the ability to design and develop tools that enhance data utilization. You will use software tools to transform data into actionable data sets, and analyze, and interpret historical data. Additionally, you will develop and maintain features in the data warehouse and reporting platforms to ensure data availability across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines and architectures to collect, process, and store large volumes of data.
• Able to build and manage ETL processes to integrate data from various sources into a unified data warehouse or data lake.
• Ensure information security, data privacy & best practices are part of any designed, developed & maintained solutions.
• Implementing data quality checks and ensuring data integrity and accuracy throughout the data lifecycle.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working with complex data sets and expertise in data and tools.
• Strong analytic skills related to working with structured & unstructured datasets.
• Previous experience building processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management.
• Demonstrated proficiency in handling large volumes of data efficiently.
• Experience with technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Apache Kafka.
• Familiarity with data modeling, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and data warehousing concepts.
• Advanced working knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases. 
• SQL and AWS working experience is essential Python, Terraform, and Airflow experience are very beneficial.
• Machine learning knowledge or experience would be a bonus.
• Fluent in English and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of an international, distributed team and resolve potential issues and challenges that come with remote work.
