Senior DBA SRE Engineer

We are looking for an experienced DBA SRE Engineer, and this position serves as a vital cross-product role within the DevOps/SRE team.

*Candidate must be eligible to work in the EU.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain data within a warehouse environment supporting delivery of quality data outputs.
• Administer, Configure, Patch, Upgrade, etc - Relational SQL, distributed SQL, and NoSQL databases including, but not limited to, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MemSQL, CrateDB, MongoDB, Cassandra, Neo4j, AllegroGraph, ArangoDB, Cosmos, etc.
• Maintain a platform performing regular tasks such as user management and audit, resource utilization, and alert monitoring.
• Modify existing ETL processes in order to achieve automation where possible and to accommodate changes in the data structure.
• Have a good understanding of data platform best practices to achieve economies of scale, cost reduction, and efficiencies.
• Excellent knowledge of managing Database performance tuning, backup, and recovery methods.
• Migration of databases from legacy systems to cloud data platforms.

Requirements:

• 5 years (s) of experience in DataOps Engineering or DBA.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Mandatory technologies: Mongo DB and SQL (Relation) DB.

Proven track record of success in at least some of the following areas:

• Python and experience with data extraction, data cleansing, and data wrangling.
• SQL and experience with relational databases.
• Codification of business rules (analytics) in one of the programming languages listed above.
• Data modeling, data mapping, data governance, and the processes and technologies commonly used in this space.
• Data integration tools (e.g. Talend, SnapLogic, Informatica) and data warehousing/data lake tools.
• API-based data acquisition and management.

Nice to have skills:

• Previous experience working in an Operations/SRE team.
• Knowledge or Experience with Azure DevOps.
• Security : Encryption; Network security; Network topology.
• Experience with monitoring solutions via DataDog.
