Backend Engineer (Laravel)

We are looking for a Backend Engineer (Laravel) to join our agile team of professionals. In this role, you will design and create projects using the Laravel framework and PHP, while collaborating/assisting the team in delivering high-quality web applications, services, and tools for our business. You will be responsible for analyzing requirements, building software components, and delivering the solution along with software developers and architects.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement web applications that use the Laravel framework
• Create server-side logic to handle frontend inputs
• Troubleshoot issues in the implementation and debug builds
• Interact with SQL databases
• Test the functionality for users and the backend
• Ensure that integrations run smoothly
• Analyze requirements, build software components, and deliver solutions
• Implement best practices, coding, and security standards using the industry-standard tools
• Work closely with the team, helping others to work efficiently, constantly experimenting with new ideas, and optimizing existing ones

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with PHP and Laravel
• Understanding/knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL databases
• Experience performing unit testing, and managing APIs
• Understanding of the MVC pattern
• Experience with Agile Software Methodology
• Cloud concepts knowledge
• Ability to problem-solve and critically think
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work as part of an international, distributed team and resolve potential issues and challenges that come with remote work
