Staff DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a Staff DevOps Engineer that will help establish best practices, delivery excellence, and quality support for the DevOps team. You will have a crucial role in adopting common practices around the DevOps culture, and drive the leadership activities partnered with your manager counterpart. You have excellent communication skills and previous experience in platform and full software development cycle.

Responsibilities: 

• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, business acumen, and supporting teams on deliverables.
• Lead by example, and empower the team to own their delivery and execute within a new mindset around DevOps culture.
• Drive the design and deployment of scalable, secure, highly available, and fault tolerant systems on AWS for the development and test lifecycle of the cloud security product.
• Modify existing software in AWS to improve performance.
• Build and optimize Continuous Deployment pipelines, and set up and use various observability tools.
• Leverage data and tooling to grasp issues, draw conclusions, and solve problems.
• Work cross functionally with Engineers, Data Science, Product to scale and maintain existing infrastructure, build new functionalities and ensure high-quality output. 
   

Requirements:  

• 10+ years of experience in the industry.
• Proven technical leadership and mentoring experience.
• Ability to handle complex and large scope projects.
• Proven experience building scalable infrastructure in AWS.
• Experience with one or more AWS SDKs and/or CLI.
• Deep understanding of microservices and distributed architecture.
• Strong hands-on experience building CI/CD workflows and using scripting languages.
• Experience leveraging DevOps principles and able to apply best practices for infrastructure and software deployment.
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of an international, distributed team and resolve potential issues and challenges that come with remote work.
