Laravel Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Laravel Engineer to lead the development and optimization of software applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the Laravel framework, with a proven track record of building scalable, high-quality applications.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new features and functionalities using Laravel and related technologies.
• Lead backend architecture efforts, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Maintain and enhance existing applications for improved usability and performance.
• Integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system.
• Facilitate the migration of legacy applications to Laravel-based architecture.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Implement security and data protection measures.
• Provide training and support to internal teams, and mentor junior developers.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends in software development and incorporate best practices into operations.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience with Laravel and a deep understanding of the Laravel ecosystem.
• Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks and object-oriented PHP programming.
• Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to perform well in a team-oriented environment.
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills, with the ability to work as part of an international, distributed team.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets.
• Ability to work as part of an international, distributed team and resolve potential issues and challenges that come with remote work.
