Drupal Developer

Adeva is a global talent network that enables work without boundaries by connecting tech professionals with top companies worldwide. This is a position with one of our clients from California. 

We are looking for a Drupal Developer that can be a strong technical contributor on Drupal projects during both the design and implementation phases of projects. You will also contribute to the best practices for internal use of Drupal, ensuring that we’re building Drupal sites that look and perform beyond customer’s expectations.

Responsibilities:

• Work with other developers to design & build sites in Drupal that meet the needs of some of our largest customers, making sure to take the platform’s strengths and weaknesses into account to ensure it can be built within the defined timeline of the project
• Collaborate with other Drupal developers to build large Drupal sites using a uniform architecture and standard code styles.
• Collaborate with other Drupal developers through source code control and other Drupal site management tools and ensure you can handle merge conflicts between team members.
• Generate realistic work estimates and stick to the timelines you commit to, even if it means working extra to get it done.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in Drupal & PHP and at least 1 year of experience building Drupal 8 sites
• A candidate who has experience doing basic Drupal site building, as well as building custom functionality where necessary by writing custom modules
• Someone who understands the strengths of the Drupal platform and designs and implements sites that play into those strengths
• Someone who can effectively communicate engineering concepts to others through both verbal & written communication forms, and can create technical documents that outline a site plan so that others can execute on it
• Someone who has worked on an Agile development team and works well in a fast-paced environment with other highly capable teammates.
