Senior Java Developers

We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join multidisciplinary, agile Core Platform teams. You’ll play a key role in building and evolving a high-scale platform responsible for delivering Video on Demand (VoD) and Live Events to users worldwide.

The platform is built from Java-based services, operates through event-driven processes and RESTful APIs, and runs on AWS infrastructure at a global scale.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services in Java (11+).
• Build and optimize an event-driven platform running globally on AWS.
• Develop and support RESTful APIs enabling reliable Video on Demand and Live Event delivery.
• Ensure platform services are scalable, secure, highly available, and resilient.
• Improve system observability by supporting monitoring, alerting, logging, and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with engineers, QA, DevOps, and product teams in agile workflows.
• Write high-quality code with a strong focus on engineering best practices, design patterns, and maintainability.
• Contribute to automated testing practices: unit tests and integration tests, plus test case design for QA validation.
• Support the delivery of complex platform features with minimal downtime and maximum reliability.

Requirements

• Strong Java experience (Java 11 and above).
• Strong experience with relational databases (MySQL and/or PostgreSQL).
• Solid understanding of software design principles and design patterns.
• Experience building and operating event-driven systems.
• Experience with automated testing (Unit + Integration testing).
• Ability to design test cases and support QA validation.
• Experience building RESTful APIs (JAX-RS, Dropwizard, Spring Boot, or similar).
• Experience working within an agile development team.
• A strong sense of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, flexible, and demanding environment.
