Technical Support Engineer

We’re looking for a Technical Support Engineer who thrives at the intersection of engineering and customer support. In this role, you’ll act as a bridge between a Customer Support team and Engineering, building internal systems and tools that enable exceptional customer experiences at scale.

You’ll work extensively with one of the largest Laravel Nova implementations, gaining exposure across a wide range of systems and features rather than being limited to a single product area.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain internal tools using Laravel and Laravel Nova to support and scale customer support operations
• Develop backend functionality and APIs that power AI-driven support tools (e.g., Intercom Fin)
• Build systems and automated workflows that improve efficiency across multiple teams
• Investigate and troubleshoot complex technical issues, identifying root causes and implementing solutions
• Collaborate closely with Customer Support, Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success teams
• Create and maintain technical documentation and self-service resources for both internal teams and customers
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve tooling, automation, and support processes

Requirements

• Strong experience building and maintaining systems using PHP and Laravel
• Solid understanding of backend architecture and product engineering principles
• Proven ability to debug, investigate, and solve complex technical issues
• Experience building tools, APIs, or systems used by real users (production experience or strong side projects)
• Excellent written communication skills (remote-first environment)
• Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• A proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and curiosity
• Customer-focused approach with a passion for building tools that improve user experience

Nice to Have

• Experience with Laravel Nova or similar admin frameworks
• Familiarity with AI-powered tools or integrations
• Experience working in a remote, distributed team
