Java Backend / Full-Stack Developer (Lead & Senior)

Adeva is a global talent network that enables work without boundaries by connecting tech professionals with top companies worldwide. 

We are looking for strong Java Backend and Lead Engineers to build a connector (microservice) responsible for migrating knowledge base content from various source systems into a document management system via API. The role may also involve some frontend contributions, depending on project needs.

You will collaborate closely with an experienced core team (10+ engineers) that owns the core feature development of the document management platform and will provide strong domain and technical support.

Responsibilities

1. Lead Developer

• Lead and mentor a team of 3–4 engineers
• Participate in requirements gathering and specification
• Work closely with stakeholders and have direct customer interaction
• Contribute hands-on to backend (and potentially full-stack) development
• Ensure technical quality, scalability, and best practices

2. Backend / Full-Stack Developer

• Develop and maintain backend services (microservices) in Java
• Integrate with external systems via APIs
• Support frontend development when needed (Angular is a plus)
• Collaborate with the core platform team to align with system architecture
• Follow best practices in code quality, testing, and documentation

Requirements

• Strong Java development experience, ideally 5+ years
• Experience building microservices
• Cloud experience (GCP preferred)
• Experience working with APIs and integrations
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of an international, distributed team and resolve potential issues and challenges that come with remote work.

Nice-to-have:

• Frontend experience with Angular
• Full-stack development background
• Experience working in distributed or remote teams
