Lead Engineer (Full-Stack)

We are looking for a Lead Engineer to join our client delivery teams working on a modern, event-driven platform. In this role, you will own the technical design and delivery of features end-to-end while leading a cross-functional team of frontend and backend engineers.

This position sits at the intersection of hands-on engineering and technical leadership. You’ll be responsible for setting technical direction, making architectural decisions, and working closely with clients and stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical design and delivery, from architecture through to production
• Lead and support a full-stack team, providing clear technical direction and mentorship
• Drive architectural decisions across event-driven systems, APIs, and client integrations
• Act as the technical point of contact for clients and stakeholders
• Review code and design proposals, ensuring high engineering standards
• Identify and manage technical risks, debt, and delivery blockers
• Collaborate with QA, Product, and other engineering teams to ensure smooth delivery
• Contribute to improving engineering practices, tooling, and system design

Requirements

• Strong engineering background in either:
  • Frontend: TypeScript, React, React Native
  • Backend: Java (11+)
    (with ability to work across the full stack)
• Solid understanding of event-driven architecture (Kafka, Kinesis, SQS, or similar)
• Proven experience leading or mentoring engineers in a delivery team
• Experience owning technical design end-to-end for complex systems or features
• Strong experience with AWS-based architectures
• Solid understanding of API design and service contracts
• Experience with automated testing and quality standards
• Strong communication skills and experience working with clients and stakeholders

Nice to Have

• Experience across both frontend and backend within the same platform
• Experience with multi-platform or streaming applications
• Familiarity with connected TV platforms (Tizen, webOS, tvOS, Android TV)
• Experience with relational databases
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code
• Background in media, streaming, or broadcast technology
• Experience working in client-facing or strategic delivery environments
