Senior Automation QA Engineer (Playwright & WebdriverIO)

We’re looking for an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer who will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks for both web and mobile applications - ensuring product quality, scalability, and performance across releases.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright (JavaScript) for web applications.
• Build and maintain mobile automation frameworks using WebdriverIO.
• Develop reusable test utilities, page object models (POMs), and helper functions to support test scalability.
• Define test strategies, scope, and approach for new features and releases.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and UX teams to ensure testability of requirements.
• Execute automated regression, functional, and integration tests.
• Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar).
• Monitor, debug, and optimize test execution for reliability and performance.
• Analyze test results, log defects, and verify fixes.
• Work closely with manual QA engineers to increase automation coverage.
   

Requirements

• 5+ years of QA experience, with 3+ years in automation testing.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript for test automation.
• Proven experience with Playwright for web automation as well as WebdriverIO for mobile automation (Android & iOS).
• Solid understanding of Page Object Model (POM) and test framework architecture.
• Experience in API testing (e.g., Postman, Supertest, or Playwright API).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology.
• ISTQB or similar certification is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Allure or other test reporting tools.
• Knowledge of performance testing (k6, JMeter).
• Familiarity with Docker or other containerization tools for test environments.
• Experience with cloud-based device farms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).
