Software Engineer- GenAI

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer with experience in deploying AI-NLP products to join our Knowledge AI (KAI) teams. The KAI team excels at analyzing and interpreting unstructured data using advanced NLP, large language models (LLMs), and AI technologies. The role would be supporting the development and deployment of AI- and NLP-driven products and solutions. The candidate will bring a strong foundation in SQL and Python, complemented by hands-on experience in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and data engineering methodologies. Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes (K8S) is also required.

Responsibilities

• Deploy language models for specific business problems, such as Operations and Maintenance (to prevent unplanned shutdowns), to extract, process, classify, and derive insights from the information hidden in unstructured datasets.
• Unit testing with mocking, etc.
• Optimizing execution workflow and ensuring the solution can scale up and down to zero.
• Implement data pipelines for ingestion, cleaning, normalization, annotation, and versioning of large text and multimodal datasets.
• Build and maintain APIs, and tooling to enable product teams to access models and datasets easily
• Troubleshoot production incidents, deploy fixes, and perform postmortems to improve system reliability
• Generate clean, efficient, and excellently documented Python code.
• Op7mise training and inference code-base for performance and cost (distributed training, mixed precision, model parallelism, quan7za7on, caching).

Requirements

• Advanced skills in Python development, including libraries like NumPy, SciPy, FastAPI.
• Extensive experience with Docker, able to create, deploy, and manage containers effectively.
• In-depth understanding of Kubernetes, capable of orchestrating containerized applications at scale.
• Expertise in SQL.
• Strong background in utilizing modern NLP tools and libraries such as OpenAI, Hugging Face Transformers, or similar technologies.
• Experience with machine learning (ML) and natural language processing (NLP), GenAI, including prior work with large language models (LLMs, Transformers, Pytorch).
• Practical experience in working with cloud platforms, specifically MS Azure.
• Knowledge or experience with vector databases
• Knowledge of service bus architecture and related technologies is desirable.
