Observability Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Observability Engineer to play a key role in our Stability 2.0 initiative, aimed at enhancing system stability through advanced observability practices and tools. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in monitoring, automation, and configuration management to help maintain and improve our critical systems.

Responsibilities

• Implement and optimize NewRelic for infrastructure and application performance monitoring (APM).
• Configure and maintain Zabbix for effective system monitoring and alerting.
• Utilize Chef for configuration management and automation tasks.
• Develop and manage infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and/or Terragrunt.
• Perform root cause analysis and contribute to system stability improvements.
• Leverage Linux fundamentals and command-line utilities for troubleshooting and system operations.

Requirements

• Proven expertise in NewRelic and Zabbix for monitoring and alerting solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Chef for automation and configuration management.
• Advanced knowledge of Terraform and/or Terragrunt for infrastructure provisioning.
• Strong understanding of Linux fundamentals and utilities.
• Familiarity with additional tools like the ELK stack, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
• Prior experience in the banking sector or other regulated environments with a solid understanding of compliance and security standards.
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of an international, distributed team and resolve potential issues and challenges that come with remote work.
