Platform Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Platform / DevOps Engineer to lead the delivery and evolution of a platform infrastructure. In this role, you will own complex systems end to end, drive automation and DevOps best practices, and work closely with engineering and operations teams to ensure our gaming platform is secure, scalable, and highly available across both cloud and on-premise environments.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end delivery of complex platform systems, from design and architecture through implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Automate processes and build tooling to streamline deployment, monitoring, and management of on-premise and cloud (AWS) infrastructure.
• Collaborate closely with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration between software and infrastructure.
• Drive the adoption of DevOps best practices, including CI/CD and automation, to accelerate software delivery.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise platform performance, reliability, and availability.
• Ensure platform security and compliance through appropriate safeguards and access controls.
• Document platform architecture, configurations, and processes, and share knowledge across teams.

Requirements

• 6–10 years of experience in roles such as Systems Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Software Engineer, or Operations Engineer.
• Strong networking fundamentals (e.g. TCP/IP), with experience working with firewalls and load balancers.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for deploying, scaling, and managing containerised applications.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible, across cloud (AWS) and on-premise (VMWare) environments.
• Deep expertise in Linux systems, including performance tuning, security, and system configuration.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language; Golang or Python preferred.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with experience debugging infrastructure and deployment issues.
• Passion for continuous learning and staying current with platform engineering technologies.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
