Senior GCP Data Engineer Expert

We’re looking for a Senior GCP Data Engineer Expert for a SAP BW to BigQuery migration in the manufacturing industry (DACH region).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data models and pipelines in BigQuery using best practices for cloud environments
• Migrate existing data structures and logic from SAP BW to BigQuery
• Use Dataform and SQL to build scalable and maintainable data transformation layers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and ensure data quality
• Optimize performance and ensure cost-effective data processing in GCP

Requirements

• Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), especially BigQuery and Dataform
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, data pipelines, and ETL/ELT processes
• Solid skills in SQL and experience with cloud migration projects
• Background in working with or migrating from SAP BW is highly desirable
• Experience in manufacturing or knowledge of the DACH market is a plus
• Fluent in English and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of an international, distributed team and resolve potential issues and challenges that come with remote work.
