QA Engineer (Salesforce Marketing Cloud)

We are looking for a Marketing Cloud QA Engineer who can understand marketing automation use cases, design effective test cases, and execute comprehensive testing across Salesforce Marketing Cloud implementations. This role focuses on ensuring quality, data accuracy, compliance, and reliable execution of automated marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Analyze marketing automation requirements and create detailed test scenarios and test cases
• Test email campaigns including personalization, dynamic content, links, and compliance elements
• Validate Journey Builder workflows (entry criteria, decision splits, waits, re-entry rules)
• Test Automation Studio workflows including imports, SQL queries, extracts, and schedules
• Perform data validation on Data Extensions using SQL queries
• Validate AMPscript-based personalization and fallback logic
• Verify tracking and reporting for opens, clicks, bounces, and conversions
• Execute UAT cycles, log defects, and collaborate closely with developers on fixes
• Perform pre-production smoke testing and post-launch validation
• Test unsubscribe flows and preference center functionality
• Validate data ingestion and integrations from CRM to Marketing Cloud
• Ensure email rendering, accessibility, and compliance standards are met
• Support defect management and reporting using Jira or Azure DevOps

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including: Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Contact Builder, Content Builder
• Strong experience in Marketing Cloud Testing & QA
• Solid SQL skills for Data Extensions and Data Views
• Experience validating AMPscript, email personalization, and dynamic content
• Experience testing automations, journeys, and campaign workflows
• Knowledge of data validation and integration testing
• Experience supporting UAT, defect tracking, and resolution
• Familiarity with email rendering and accessibility testing (Litmus, Email on Acid)
• Basic understanding of email compliance standards (CAN-SPAM, GDPR)
• Experience using Jira or Azure DevOps for defect and test management
• Basic experience with Postman for API testing
• Comfortable working with Excel / Google Sheets for test tracking and reporting
