Senior Backend Engineer / Tech Lead

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer/Tech Lead who possesses strong leadership skills and extensive technical experience with the JavaScript tech stack, particularly Node.js for back-end development, solid experience with document-based databases like MongoDB, and a basic understanding of ReactJS for front-end development.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Software and QA Engineers.
• Create and maintain the product architecture and its infrastructure.
• Contribute technical insights and high-level estimations to the product roadmap.
• Oversee technical delivery, distribution, and progress of the team's work.
• Build high-quality code and develop stable and secure features.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers and other stakeholders.
• Implement and utilize agile software development methodologies, focusing on Scrum.
• Organize efficient deployment processes and implement fast hot-fix procedures.
• Foster the professional growth of engineering team members through coaching, mentoring, feedback, and career development initiatives.
• Lead technical initiatives and introduce new opportunities.

Requirements

• Extensive technical expertise and a successful track record in software delivery as an individual contributor or manager.
• 5+ years of professional experience as a software engineer and tech lead.
• Professional experience with Node.js, JavaScript (ES6), and asynchronous programming.
• Proficiency with modern Node.js frameworks, especially Express.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD tools and pipelines.
• Familiarity with Terraform and Kafka.
• Understanding of modern system and application design.
• Proven track record in managing distributed engineering teams proficient in back-end and front-end technologies.
• Ability to lead fast-paced projects with timely delivery and execution.
• Skilled in providing technical guidance and resolving issues.
• Success in supporting team members and promoting career growth.
• Proficient in written and verbal English communication.
