DBA Microsoft SQL Server Expert

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Microsoft SQL Server Expert to join a dynamic team as a Database Administrator (DBA). You should be proficient in ETL services, performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting. Strong knowledge of SQL Server Security, T-SQL, SQL Integration Services (SSIS), PowerShell scripting, SQL Reporting (SSRS), and SQL Analysis (SSAS) is required. 

Responsibilities

• Perform SQL Server Database Administration tasks including installation, configuration, maintenance, and monitoring.
• Manage SQL Server System Administration tasks to ensure system performance, availability, and security.
• Develop and implement ETL processes to efficiently extract, transform, and load data.
• Perform deep-dive performance troubleshooting, tuning, and optimization of SQL Server databases.
• Implement SQL Server Security measures and conduct security auditing as necessary.
• Write and optimize T-SQL queries for efficient data retrieval and manipulation.
• Develop and maintain SQL Integration Services (SSIS) packages for data integration tasks.
• Utilize PowerShell scripting for automation and administrative tasks.
• Develop and maintain SQL Reporting (SSRS) and SQL Analysis (SSAS) solutions as required.
• Interpret performance reports collected by tools like Query Store, Extended Events, or SQL Sentry to improve performance or provide impact analysis.
• Utilize SQL Server DMVs for monitoring and troubleshooting database performance.
• Design optimal database structures and configurations for best performance.
• Implement High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server environments.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize database performance in .NET/C#, WPF, and Entity Framework applications.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in database administration and Microsoft SQL Server.

Requirements

• Experience as a Database Administrator with a focus on Microsoft SQL Server.
• Extensive knowledge of SQL Server Database Administration and System Administration.
• Proficiency in ETL services, performance tuning, and optimization.
• Strong understanding of SQL Server Security, T-SQL, SSIS, PowerShell scripting, SSRS, and SSAS.
• Experience with SQL Server version 2019 or higher.
• Ability to interpret performance reports and provide insights for performance improvement.
• Familiarity with SQL Server DMVs, High Availability, Disaster Recovery, Windows server, and Active Directory.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of an international, distributed team and resolve potential issues and challenges that come with remote work.
