Senior Python Engineer

We are seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer with a strong backend foundation in Python and Django. The ideal candidate will have experience working on monolithic applications, with a particular focus on API development. You will work with technologies across the stack, including MySQL, and Django templates. Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP) is also essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain APIs and backend functionality using Python, Django, and MySQL.
• Collaborate on the frontend with JavaScript, jQuery, and Django templates to transform HTML efficiently, incorporating Handlebars where needed.
• Work closely with the infrastructure team to leverage cloud solutions in AWS and GCP, maintaining and optimizing the deployment of monolithic applications.
• Ensure scalability, performance, and reliability within a monolithic architecture.
• Collaborate across departments, understanding requirements and delivering high-quality solutions.
• Write clean, well-documented code and participate in code reviews to maintain code quality standards.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in software development, with strong expertise in backend development using Python and Django.
• Proficiency in API development and backend technologies, including MySQL.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure such as AWS and GCP.
• Experience with monolithic application architectures and understanding of best practices for these setups.
• Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
