Senior Python Developer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Python Developer to join a dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will play a key part in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems and real-time data pipelines. You’ll be working on mission-critical applications that leverage Python, Kafka, and Pytest.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-performance, scalable backend solutions using Python.
• Build and maintain real-time data streaming applications using Kafka.
• Write reusable, testable, and efficient code, ensuring best software development practices.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive suite of unit and integration tests using Pytest.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, DevOps engineers, and other developers.
• Participate in code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing systems for maximum performance.
• Ensure security and data protection in backend services.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in Python development.
• Strong knowledge of Kafka, including producer/consumer design patterns and message stream processing.
• Proven experience with Pytest for test automation and TDD/BDD practices.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of an international, distributed team and resolve potential issues and challenges that come with remote work.
