Senior Fullstack Developer (WordPress)

We are looking for a senior full-stack WordPress developer who will independently deliver high-quality work with custom themes. The Senior WordPress Developer will report directly to the Team Manager. 

*The candidate must be available to work within the US East Coast time zone.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical tasks from simple to complex.
• Handle most of your own scoping.
• Deploy your own tasks.
• Ensure your deliverables are tested and uphold our standards of quality.
• Work self-sufficiently and be capable of researching technical solutions on your own.
• Deliver tasks on time and within budget or inform otherwise.
• Review task budget and determine appropriateness.
• Provide timely feedback and status updates.
• Communicate clearly about technical issues.
• Know when challenges need escalation.
• Help integrate new developers into the team (fill the role of buddy for new developers).
• Keep up to date with the latest programming developments.

Requirements

• At least 3 years experience with WordPress and working with custom themes.
• Experience with the most popular WordPress plugins.
• Extensive hands-on experience with ACF, Yoast, and WPML.
• Experience with SCSS.
• Experience with WordPress API.
• Specialist in CSS and JS.
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of an international, distributed team and resolve potential issues and challenges that come with remote work.

Nice to have

• Experience with PHP frameworks like Laravel or Symfony.
