MS Azure Technical Data Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled MS Azure Technical Data Architect with expertise in cloud architecture patterns, Azure data services, and DevOps practices. You should have extensive experience in setting up and managing Azure data solutions such as Data Lake Gen2, Synapse, DataBricks, and Data Factory. You should be adept at implementing DevOps practices, including infrastructure as code and continuous integration/delivery, and stay updated with industry best practices and trends in data analytics environments/systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud architecture patterns for Azure data solutions.
• Implement DevOps practices, including infrastructure as code and continuous integration/delivery, for efficient deployment and management of data solutions.
• Utilize Azure data skills, including Data Lake Gen2, Synapse, DataBricks, and Data Factory, to develop scalable and robust data pipelines.
• Set up and manage PaaS data lake environments, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Implement pipes principles and developments to optimize data flow and processing.
• Stay updated with industry best practices, trends, and evolutions in the IT industry, particularly in data analytics environments/systems.
• Implement data management principles, including metadata management, lineage, and data quality, to ensure data integrity and reliability.
• Utilize database projects in Visual Studio for efficient development and deployment of database solutions.
• Implement Log Analytics for monitoring and troubleshooting data solutions.
• Develop shared datasets and tabular models to facilitate data analysis and reporting.

Requirements

• Experience in cloud architecture and data management, with a focus on Azure technologies.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing Azure data solutions, including Data Lake Gen2, Synapse, DataBricks, and Data Factory.
• Strong understanding of DevOps practices, including infrastructure as code and continuous integration/delivery.
• Excellent knowledge of data management principles and best practices.
• Proficiency in database projects in Visual Studio and Log Analytics.
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of an international, distributed team and resolve potential issues and challenges that come with remote work.
