Tech Lead

As an Engineering Lead, you will play a pivotal role in leading a talented team of software engineers in the design, development, and implementation of software solutions using Java and Golang. You will drive architectural discussions, making critical design decisions that emphasize scalability, performance, and reliability. Your expertise will be essential in modernizing legacy systems and ensuring a seamless transition to more efficient technologies. By conducting comprehensive code reviews, you will ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality code, setting a standard for your team of iOS, Android, and Backend engineers working on an interesting mobile application.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a team of software engineers, providing technical direction and oversight.
• Drive key architectural decisions and design high-level system structures.
• Oversee the migration from legacy systems to modern technologies, ensuring a smooth transition.
• Perform in-depth code reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
• Stay updated with the latest technological trends and suggest their implementation in relevant projects.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with stakeholders and uphold high documentation standards.

Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in backend engineering, specializing in Java or Golang.
• Minimum of 2 years in a formal leadership role, including conducting performance reviews, managing personnel, and handling recruitment.
• Strong expertise in architectural design and legacy system modernization.
• Proficient in conducting thorough code reviews and mentoring team members.
• Solid understanding of emerging technologies and their practical applications.
• Excellent communication skills, particularly in stakeholder interactions and documentation.
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
