NodeJS Developer with Bloomreach

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer with expertise in Node.js, GCP, and SQL to join our team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing scalable backend solutions that handle large data volumes efficiently. The role involves working with ETL processes, cloud infrastructure, and modern development tools to build high-performance applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js, Express, and JavaScript.
• Work extensively with SQL and database management for large-scale data processing.
• Develop and optimize ETL processes to handle large data volumes efficiently.
• Build and manage cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including:
  • BigQuery, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Cloud Scheduler, Cloud Storage, Cloud Logs, Secret Manager, Service Accounts, and Permission Management.
• Implement and maintain REST APIs with a focus on rate limiting, security, and performance optimization.
• Utilize Terraform for infrastructure automation and management.
• Monitor and troubleshoot system performance using Datadog.
• Collaborate with frontend developers using React to ensure seamless integration.
• Maintain high coding standards and best practices for scalability, reliability, and security.

Requirements

• Strong experience in backend development using Node.js, Express, and JavaScript.
• Expertise in SQL for handling and querying large datasets.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including key services like BigQuery, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, and Service Accounts.
• Deep understanding of ETL processes and best practices for large-scale data handling.
• Experience with Terraform for cloud infrastructure as code (IaC).
• Strong understanding of REST API development and rate limiting techniques.
• Proficiency in Datadog for monitoring and observability.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Basic knowledge of Jinja scripting language.
• Experience with the SaaS platform Bloomreach Engagement.
