Senior Fullstack Engineer

We are seeking a talented Senior Fullstack Engineer to join a passionate Product Development team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of an exciting greenfield re-platforming project, transitioning the PHP monolithic backend to an event-driven serverless architecture. Your expertise will be pivotal in designing and implementing the ideal scalable solution for the domain. As a key member of the cross-functional team, you will have considerable autonomy and influence over both the new backend architecture and the web frontend, ensuring an exceptional developer experience and delivering reliable software. 

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, implementation, and testing of new features and 3rd party integrations.
• Assist with the architecture and implementation design of future services.
• Peer review other team members' work.
• Investigate bugs and other operational issues.
• Identify and address technical debt.
• Contribute to the technical and product roadmaps.
• Prototype new functionality and POCs.
• Write documentation.
• Deploy multiple times to production.
• Share and implement new tools and ideas to help the teams move faster

Requirements

• 5+ experience in Node.Js and TypeScript.
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
• Experience with event-driven or event-sourced systems.
• Experience designing & developing high-quality REST APIs and microservices.
• Experience working with cloud-native solutions in AWS, GCP or Azure.
• Experience with VueJS or a similar framework.
• Proficiency with data modelling, SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Passion for working in a cross-functional team and startup environment.
• Comfort with owning software from ideation to operation.
• Aptitude for building systems centred around performance, observability and scalability.
