Senior WebTV Engineer

We are seeking a Senior WebTV Engineer with strong expertise in developing large-screen, web-based applications for TV platforms. The ideal candidate has proven experience delivering TV-centric web solutions, with a focus on seamless media playback, optimized performance, and engaging user interfaces tailored for living room experiences.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and backend teams to build and maintain high-quality WebTV applications that ensure smooth navigation and immersive video experiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain WebTV applications with a focus on TV devices.
• Implement scalable and responsive user interfaces optimized for large screens.
• Integrate video streaming services, backend APIs, and third-party libraries.
• Ensure application performance, reliability, and smooth playback experiences.
• Conduct code reviews and maintain high-quality coding standards.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues efficiently.
• Collaborate in an agile environment, contributing to sprint planning, testing, and releases.

Requirements

• Proven professional experience in web application development (minimum 5+ years).
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Hands-on experience building and optimizing applications for WebTV platforms (e.g., Smart TV, HbbTV, or browser-based TV apps).
• Experience with video streaming technologies (DASH, HLS), DRM, and media playback optimization.
• Familiarity with frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Strong understanding of responsive design principles for TV and large screens.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
