Senior QA Automation Engineer

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Developers, DevOps, QAs, and Security teams. You’ll be responsible for ensuring test automation best practices, improving code quality and testability, and enhancing overall product reliability. You’ll play a key role in developing automation frameworks, supporting CI/CD pipelines, and driving quality across the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve testability and quality of deliverables.
• Perform ticket analysis and create test plans.
• Design, develop, and maintain automation tests based on acceptance criteria.
• Support and implement deployment processes for test environments and debug issues.
• Conduct code reviews to enforce engineering best practices and coding standards.
• Execute the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Own CI/CD processes for build, test, and deployment.
• Set up and maintain test automation frameworks and infrastructure.
• Assist with security pipeline setup and maintenance (e.g., Checkmarx, NowSecure).
• Generate automated test reports and implement supporting scripts/tools for Dev and QA teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in Test/ QA Engineer.
• Strong testing mindset with the ability to code in at least one of: Java, Groovy, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with automation frameworks/tools (e.g., Spock, Selenium, Cypress, Webdriver.io, Playwright).
• Solid experience testing and developing web services (REST/SOAP).
• Strong appreciation of coding standards, best practices, and clean code.
• Knowledge of the test pyramid and applying it during SDLC.
• Experience in planning, estimating, and coordinating test activities.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with virtualization, cloud solutions, and infrastructure as code (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenStack, Azure, AWS, GCP, Ansible).
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, Travis).
• Experience in cross-browser/device automation (e.g., Sauce Labs, BrowserStack).
• Contributions to open-source projects.
• DevOps mindset with Linux distribution and deployment experience.
• Experience in the gaming industry.
